The focus of this article is on the process of integrating Sendinblue with Notion. Once this integration is in place, newly added subscribers to your Sendinblue account will automatically be saved as items in your Notion database.
The automation is achieved through a one-time setup using Pabbly Connect.
To begin, we will connect Sendinblue with Pabbly Connect to capture new subscriber information. Subsequently, we will link Pabbly Connect with Notion to create new database items using the captured subscriber data.
Steps to Automatically Add Sendinblue Subscribers to Notion Database
1. Sign In / Sign Up to Pabbly Connect and Create a Workflow
2. Setup Sendinblue as the Trigger Event to Capture New Subscribers
3. Setup Sendinblue as the Action App to Gather Contact Information
4. Setup Notion as the Action App to Save Subscriber Information
Step 1:- Sign In / Sign Up to Pabbly Connect and Create a Workflow
A. Sign In / Sign Up
To begin this process, visit Pabbly Connect and create your account by clicking on the ‘Sign Up Free’ button. You can also click on Sign In if you already have an account.
Click on the Pabbly Connect ‘Access Now’ button
B. Create Workflow
To create a new workflow, click the ‘Create Workflow’ button.
Name your workflow, and click on ‘Create’.
Step 2:- Setup Sendinblue as the Trigger Event to Capture New Subscribers
Trigger allows us to choose the application that will receive the data for Pabbly Connect. In our case, it would be Sendinblue.
Choose ‘Sendinblue’ as the Trigger App, and select ‘New Contact Added to a List’ as the Trigger Event.
B. Webhook URL
A new Webhook URL will get generated. You will use this Webhook URL to create a connection with your Sendinblue account. Copy the Webhook URL.
Once you have copied the Webhook URL, Pabbly Connect will initiate the process of capturing data from Sendinblue, indicated by the rotating “Waiting For Webhook Response” button.
C. Connect Sendinblue Account
Login in to your Sendinble account, and click on ‘Settings’ > ‘Webhooks’.
Paste the Webhook URL we copied earlier, check ‘Added to a list’ and click on ‘Add’. By doing this, you can guarantee that every time a new user subscribes to your Contact Form, their details will be automatically saved as contacts on Sendinblue and transmitted to Pabbly Connect.
D. Test the Connection
To confirm the established connection, you can add a subscriber to your Sendinblue account and check the Response Received, which should display the subscriber’s information.
Step 3:- Setup Sendinblue as the Action App to Gather Contact Information
Action allows us to choose the application that will get executed by the workflow trigger.
As the subscriber details captured from Sendinblue are incomplete, we will set up Sendinblue as the Action App to collect comprehensive information.
A. Action App
Choose ‘Sendinblue’ as the Action App, select ‘Get a Contact Information’ as the Action Event, and click on ‘Connect’.
B. Connect Sendinblue Account
To connect with your Sendinblue account, select ‘Add New Connection’. You will be asked to enter your API Key. To find it, log in to your Sendinblue account and click on ‘SMTP & API’.
Click on ‘API Keys’ > ‘Generate a new API key’.
Name your API key, and click on ‘Generate’.
Copy the API Key, paste it into its given field, and click on ‘Save’.
Enable the mapping button, map the Email address from the step above, and click on ‘Save & Send Test Request’.
Expand Response Received, where the complete details of the subscriber must be visible.
Step 4:- Setup Notion as the Action App to Save Subscriber Information
We essentially want to use the captured subscriber details to create items in Notion database. Thus, Notion will be our Action App.
A. Action App
Choose ‘Notion’ as your Action App, select ‘Create Database Item’ as an Action Event, and click on ‘Connect’.
B. Connect Notion Account
To connect with your Notion account, select ‘Add New Connection’, and click on ‘Connect With Notion’.
Select the Database where you want to save the subscriber data.
As soon as you select your database, the properties of this database will start reflecting as fields in your Action Step.
C. Map Necessary Fields
Now that you have connected your Notion account, all you need is to map the necessary details from the steps above. Mapping ensures our data remains dynamic and changes as per the received responses.
Map the Phone Number from the step above.
Similarly, map the other fields, and click on ‘Save & Send Test Request’.
The moment you click on Save & Send Test Request, your Sendinblue subscriber will be added as an item in your Notion database.
Our automation is complete. We have successfully integrated Sendinblue with Notion. Whenever a new user is added as a subscriber to your Sendinblue account, their information will be automatically saved in your Notion database.
