How to Add Facebook Leads to Monday.com Automatically

Let’s discuss how we can integrate Facebook Lead Ads with monday.com and automatically add Facebook leads as items on monday.com.
This automation requires a one-time setup, for which we will use Pabbly Connect.
We will link Facebook Lead Ads with Pabbly Connect to capture the lead data and then add items on monday.com using this data.

Steps to Automatically Add Facebook Leads to Monday.com

1. Sign In / Sign Up to Pabbly Connect and Create a Workflow
2. Establish a connection between Facebook Lead Ads and Pabbly Connect
3. Setup Monday.com as the Action App
4. Correct Date and Time Format
5. Map the Date and Time

Step 1:- Sign In / Sign Up to Pabbly Connect and Create a Workflow

A. Sign In / Sign Up

To begin this process, visit Pabbly Connect and create your account by clicking on the ‘Sign Up Free’ button. You can also click on Sign In if you already have an account.

Click on the Pabbly Connect ‘Access Now’ button

B. Create Workflow

To create a new workflow, click the ‘Create Workflow’ button.

Name your workflow, and click on ‘Create’.

Step 2:- Establish a connection between Facebook Lead Ads and Pabbly Connect

We will now look at the steps through which we will establish a link between Facebook Lead Ads and Pabbly Connect. This will help us to fetch the lead details from Facebook Form responses.

A. Trigger App

Trigger allows us to choose the application that will receive the data for Pabbly Connect. In our case, it would be Facebook Lead Ads.

Expand the trigger step, choose ‘Facebook Lead Ads’ as the Trigger App, and select ‘New Lead (Instant)’ as your Trigger Event. Click on ‘Connect’. Doing this will result in Facebook Lead Ads sending data directly to Pabbly Connect whenever a new lead is generated.

Select ‘Add New Connection’, and click on ‘Connect With Facebook Lead Ads’. Also, grant the authorization.

B. Establish Connection

Select the Facebook page on which you are running the lead ads, and choose the LeadGen Form you want to link with Pabbly Connect. Click on ‘Save And Send Test Request’.

As soon as you click on ‘Save And Send Test Request’, Pabbly Connect will start looking to fetch data from Facebook Lead Ads indicated by the rotating ‘Waiting for Webhook Response Button’.

C. Test the Connection

To fetch the lead details, we will use the ‘Facebook Lead Ads testing tool’, which will help us create a dummy lead. Upon submission of this dummy lead, Pabbly Connect will capture the data from Facebook Lead Ads to test our established connection.

Click on ‘Facebook Lead Ads testing tool’

You will be redirected to the Lead Ads Testing Tool, where you need to create a dummy lead.
Select the Page and Form you want to link, and click on ‘Preview form’

Fill out this dummy form, click on ‘Next’, and ‘Submit’ this form.

Switch back to Pabbly Connect, expand Response Received, and our dummy details must be visible, thus confirming our established connection.

We have established a link between Facebook Lead Ads and Pabbly Connect. Pabbly Connect will now automatically fetch the details of any new leads.

Step 3:- Setup Monday.com as the Action App

A. Action App

Action allows us to choose the application that will get executed by the workflow trigger.
As our objective is to add items on monday.com, it will be our Action App.

Choose ‘Monday.com’ as the Action App, select ‘Create Item’ as an Action Event, and click on ‘Connect’

B. Connect Monday.com Account

To connect with your monday.com account, select ‘Add New Connection’. You will be asked to enter the API Token.

To find your API Token, go to your monday.com dashboard. Click on ‘Profile Icon’ > ‘Admin’

Select the ‘API’ tab, and click on ‘Generate’. This will generate an API Token for your account.

Copy the Personal API Token

Paste the Token in its given field, and click on ‘Save’.

Select the Board and Group your want to add items on.

C. Map the Necessary Fields

Since we have already captured the lead from Facebook Lead Ads, all we need is to map those details from above. Mapping ensures our data remains dynamic and changes as per the received responses.

Enter or Map the Item Name and Name from the step above.

Step 4:- Correct Date and Time Format

We will now map the date and time from above, but there is an issue. Our fields require us to enter the Date and Time separately. We also have to correct the Date and Time format.

Fixing this incorrect format, and splitting the date and time requires a two-step process.

A. Date / Time Formatter

Add an Action Step between the two steps by clicking the ‘+’ button.

Choose ‘Date / Time Formatter’ by Pabbly as your app, select ‘Format Date Only’ as an Action Event, and click on ‘Connect’

Map the Date from above, and select the format it currently has.

Select ‘YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss’ as the To Format, and click on ‘Save & Send Test Request’

B. Text Formatter

We will now split the Date and Time into two parts.

Add another step by clicking the ‘+’ button.

Choose ‘Text Formatter By Pabbly’ as the app, select ‘Split Text’ as an Action Event, and click on ‘Connect’

Map the Date and Time as the Text to Split.

Enter ‘{{space}}’ as your Separator to split the text on either side of the space.

Since we want to retain the complete data on either side of the space, select ‘All’ as the Segment Index, and click on ‘Save And Send Test Request’.

Our Date and Time are now separate and in the correct format.

Step 5:- Map the Date and Time

We have rectified the Date and Time format and can now map both in their respective fields. But before doing so, we will reauthorize our connection to fetch the latest data for mapping.

Reauthorize the connection by clicking on ‘Connected’

Then click on the ‘Save’ button.

Map Date from the step above

Similarly, map the Time and click on ‘Save & Send Test Request’

We have received a response confirming that the item has been added on monday.com

Item added in monday.com workspace, thus confirming a successful integration.

Our automation is complete.
We have successfully integrated Facebook Lead Ads with monday.com. Now whenever a new lead is generated in Facebook Lead Ads, it will be automatically added as an item on monday.com.
